Privacy Policy

Developer and scope

Çanta Hazır is published in Türkiye by Özkan Altınörs under the Gepetto Usta brand. This policy applies to the Android version with Google Play package com.cantahazir.app. Privacy questions may be sent to ozkanaltnors@gmail.com.

Local child and school data

Child name, class information, timetable, item lists, teacher notes, reminder times, bag-check history, school-free days and an optional parent-PIN hash are stored in the app's private area on the device. The PIN is a supporting change lock stored as a SHA-256 hash; it is not data encryption or system-level security. Çanta Hazır creates no account or advertising profile and does not send this data to a developer server.

Sharing a teacher message

The app cannot automatically read WhatsApp, SMS or other messaging conversations. It processes only text that the user deliberately sends to Çanta Hazır through Android's share sheet. Detected dates and item suggestions are shown before saving; no timetable, note or item list changes without user confirmation.

Reading text and timetables from an image

A user may select one image through the system photo picker. The app does not request broad access to the gallery, camera or file archive. The image is processed on the device with the bundled Google ML Kit text-recognition model; the current release has no Internet permission. The image and raw recognised text are not sent to a developer server. A result is saved to a local note or timetable only after user confirmation.

Optional profile photo

After explicit parental confirmation, one profile photo may be selected for a child through the system photo picker. The photo is resized and stored in the app's private area and is not sent to a developer server. Cases where Android's platform-managed backup may copy app files are described in the backup section below. A parent may remove it at any time.

Notifications, widget and permissions

Notification permission is used for morning and evening school-preparation reminders. A boot event may be received to reschedule saved reminders after a restart. Notification content may show a child's name; the home-screen widget may also show the child's name and bag progress. Visibility depends on the device's lock-screen, notification and widget privacy settings. The app does not request location, contacts, SMS, microphone, camera or broad photo/video access.

Backup, sharing and deletion

Android's platform-managed cloud backup may copy private DataStore records or files depending on operating-system, Google Account and device-backup settings. The DataStore state file is also designated for direct device transfer. These platform processes are governed by Google and Android backup terms; the developer operates no backup server.

A user-created JSON backup may include child, timetable, note, item, history and parent-PIN-hash data but excludes profile photos and diagnostic files. This JSON backup is not encrypted by the app. The user is responsible for the security and deletion of an exported file. Data Management clears child and school data; uninstalling removes app-private data from the device.

Optional local diagnostics

Diagnostics are disabled by default. If enabled, events and crash type or message may be written to limited local files. They are never uploaded automatically and leave the device only after a separate share action by the user. Diagnostic records are deleted through the separate 'Clear diagnostic records' action rather than the Data Management reset.

Children's privacy

Çanta Hazır is designed for use under parent or guardian supervision. Some settings may be protected by a parent PIN in child mode. The app shows no ads, performs no behavioural tracking, uses no advertising identifier and does not transmit children's data to a developer server.
